Can the software open an orphaned OST file?
Yes. Software opens orphaned and inaccessible files without Exchange Server and without a profile.
Which input files work?
Files ending in OST, PST or NST work. Rename an NST file to OST before you add it.
Can the software use a BAK file?
Yes. Add the BAK file that Scanpst created and recover the data inside it.
Can I recover deleted items?
Yes. Permanently deleted items load into the preview and show in red.
Which output formats can I choose?
PST, EML, MSG, HTML and PDF all work. PST sources can also go to Microsoft 365.
Does the software need Outlook?
No. Most exports work without Outlook. Exporting contacts, calendars, tasks, notes or journals to PST needs Outlook with the Use Outlook option on.
Can the software remove encryption?
Yes. Software removes S/MIME and OpenPGP protection when you provide the certificate or private key and password.

Can I get a refund?
Yes. Refund requests are accepted for 30 days under the RecoveryTools refund policy. Software bought without a demo evaluation does not qualify. Email a signed Letter of Destruction to sales@recovery-tools.org. Bundle purchases cannot be refunded.
